How a business is verified
Last checked 29 September 2026
In short
- We check the documents a business provides: registration, TRN and Tax Compliance Certificate where held.
- We look at its records in Operate.
- A person reviews the grade before anyone else sees it.
Documents
We check the documents a business provides: its registration, its TRN and its Tax Compliance Certificate where it holds one.
Records
We look at the business's records in Operate: sales, invoices, payroll and filings, and how long it has kept them.
Review
The readiness engine proposes a grade with its reasons, and a person reviews it before it is shown to anyone else. Verification tells you the records are there and consistent. It is not a guarantee about the future.
