Last checked 29 September 2026
In short
- Six factors: Financial health 30, Founder quality 20, Market opportunity 15, Compliance and governance 15, Technology readiness 10, Collateral and assets 10.
- Every grade lists its reasons and what would improve it.
- Grades are information, not advice or a credit rating.
The six factors
| Factor | Weight |
|---|---|
| Financial health | 30 |
| Founder quality | 20 |
| Market opportunity | 15 |
| Compliance and governance | 15 |
| Technology readiness | 10 |
| Collateral and assets | 10 |
The grades
A means ready, B nearly ready, C getting there, D early, and F not enough records to grade yet. Every grade describes readiness in plain terms. It never predicts returns.
Checks on the grade
A person reviews each grade before anyone else sees it, and a business can ask for a person to review its grade and challenge it. More about the readiness engine.
